My Story

kikismeadowHello and Welcome to the Meadow! My name is Kiara Ramirez, founder of Kikismeadow.

Kikismeadow was born at the start of the 2020 pandemic. As April of that year rolled around, my city of Los Angeles stopped in its tracks, and everything came to a standstill.

I decided to pack up my things and leave my home West Hollywood, the city I had lived in for 5 years since I first moved to LA.

With nowhere to go, I bought a canvas bell tent and moved my life to my family’s brand new olive orchard in North County San Diego.

The land was practically raw with nothing more than running water (Thank God) I was alone and excited to move into this new adventure while the rest of the world was trying its best to adapt to the new reality we were now living in.

For the first 5 months I was alone with my new boyfriend who would come and stay with me on this new land, with my tent, my camping stove, and an ice chest.

Stripping down to the basics, in the middle of the summer heat, my life began to consist of finding recluse in the shade of the olive trees in my own little meadow.

Since my tent was too hot to exist in the day, I spent most of my time moving from tree to tree finding solace in the shade and nature, exploring the river near my house, and the many trails that weave their way throughout the mountains. The wind, the birds singing, the dappled light pouring through the trees. These were some of the happiest memories that shaped my life forever.

And at that moment kikismeadow was born.

Meadow-ing to me was a form of connection to myself and the world around me, a safe place to go inwards, as well as to share and connect with others.

This journey of introspection and solitude that came out of that adventure led me on a journey of self discovery, intuition, and expansion.

My mission is now to move through the world embodying the lessons I have learned these last couple years, and share them with the rest of the world. Inspiring people to connect with themselves and the world around them through the portal of the meadow.

You can meadow at your favorite park, at the beach, in your living room, in your bed, in your front yard, all it is is laying down your favorite blanket, getting cozy with your favorite things, snacks, music, books, journals, and just BEING.

Allowing yourself to exist with no limits or rules. Whether you ease into meditation, contemplation, writing, conversation, connection. just simply BEING. It is a way of life.

No matter who you are, what your income levels are, or where you live, I promise you can always find your meadow.
